Viña Casablanca Itera Seaside Journey 2021
Description
Pale cherry red color, fruity nose with notes of Chilean guava, white strawberries, and sour cherries. On the palate, it has a fruity and fresh attack, with a duality between fruit purity, nerve, and grip. Medium-bodied, long and persistent with a long finish reminiscent of forest fruits and limestone.

Viticulture
This blend originates from different coastal regions. The combination of climates and harvest dates delivers an atypical blend of red varieties that presents a unique concept, simplicity, juiciness, and freshness. Pinot Noir-based blend, with contributions of Merlot, Barbera, and Grenache.
Vinification
Manual harvesting. The fruit is selected in the vineyard so that only the best clusters reach the winery. Alcoholic fermentation in open barrels for Barbera and Grenache, with a percentage of stalks; open tanks with punching down in the case of Pinot Noir. Partial malolactic fermentation is carried out to improve the natural acidity. Aging in clay vats, multiple-fill barrels, and concrete vats to maintain freshness and liveliness in the fruit.
