Viticulture
Wire trained with light use of drip irrigation. The fruit was sourced from "Punto de Rosa Vineyard” in Sagrada Familia, Curicó Valley. These are very old vines and the character of this is clearly reflected in the wine with the flavors and textures which it shows. This vineyard is sited in a small valley nestled into the coastal ranges. North facing and protected from the cooling breezes which flow up and down the Mataquito River, it is a very warm site. The surrounding hills naturally supply water for much of the long dry summer.
Vinification
WINEMAKING Classic fermentation techniques, long maceracion on skins, pumpimg over twice daily during fermentation. Wine directly to french Oak barrels, 15% new, where it is aged for 18 months.
