Description
This vineyard is located in the Melozal area in the Maule Valley. One hundred years ago, the variety planted in this area was País. Then the plantation trend changed and they began to replace the País vineyards with Carignan. This happened around 1930. In this particular vineyard, some País plants remained, finding a sector with plants over 100 years old. A decade ago, these plants from País were grafted with Grenache. This dry farmed vineyard was head trained and is located in the piedmont of a gentle hill with south aspect.
