About
Maquis is one of the oldest wineries in the Colchagua Valley and has been associated with the production of noble wine grapes since the XVIII century when it belonged to the Jesuit priests, owned by two Chilean presidents during the XIX century and bought by the Hurtado family in 1916, pursuing excellence for 3 centuries. Its unique terroir is surrounded by two rivers, with deep clay soils on a thick gravel layer, giving natural balanced wines produced with a sustainable pioneer managment with unfgrafted vines and a unique approach producing and aging world-class recognized handcrafted wines.
